Post surgery update Decided to get online and check out how much I've missed since surgery. I know I didn't mention it before, but I had surgery to have my gallbladder removed and something abnormal in my liver investigated. Turned out that the mystery thing in my liver was just some natural thing that doesn't harm me. However the bile ducts on my gallbladder were really thin, thinner than the writing pen tipped cathdaer that the doctor was trying to put into it. Anyway, I'm okay, though obviously a little sore. I haven't been able to leave the house yet, due to pains and being tired, but I expect to go out sometime this week. Hopefully, this will help to relieve the abdominal pains I've been having since last January. Avatar trailers omg omg omg I know I'm a total fangirl when it comes to things like FMA and Avatar but the Comic Con trailers have come out and they are full of win! Links and squeeing under cut. There's a long pre-view for the 'Ember Island Players' in which a play about the avatar's journey makes fun of the characters flaws. Also new epic trailer for the rest of season three, the possible come back of Ursa, Zuko and Katara become ninjas, and much much more? ( cut for squeeing )More Squeeing to be added as I rewatch. Mononoke and Moyashimon We've watched two shows in club this year that I just randomly wanted to talk about. One was called Mononoke. The general plot was about a Medicine Seller who goes from place to place seeking to kill spirits called 'Mononoke' This is perhaps one of the most brilliant series I have ever come across. It's like moving art. The people in club surprisingly liked it too. Normally they crack jokes all the time, but on this one, they're actually silent.  The Medicine Seller is perhaps the greatest male character I've ever seen. He's always calm and insanely witty when it comes to his dialog. In one of the scenes, he admits to making the mistake of putting oleander into some incense, which is deadly. His only response after calmly this stating it is 'Silly Me, Silly Me' with the same steady tone and expression on his face as always.  When he can finally fight the mononoke, he transforms into this version and wields a very powerful sword. The fight scenes are incredible due to the art style showing blood as things like dripping flowers. This is a weird show, I'll say that from the get go. It's about a guy who can see microbes. You know, like yeast and fungus, etc. Except instead of seeing them like one would under a microscope, what he sees look more like tamgachis (sp?) as you can see from my icon (the yellow one is yeast, I forget the other one at the moment but he's in sake). The show's not done in cgi, but the opening is a pretty good representation of the show with the exception the that main character is Edward Elric with short hair and the doctor doing the thing with the seagull. *cough* Anyway, both of these shows are definitely worth watching and both are still unlicensed so if you want you can check them out at animesuki.com |

Run for the hills! Does anyone remember Alvin and the chipmunks? A cartoon about a guy named Dave that had three chipmunks for sons (for reasons I don't remember nor wish to recall. Something about a chipmunk in a battered shawl leaving them in a basket on his doorstep or something.) They were named Alvin (the annoying one), Simon (The nerdy one) and Theodore (the compulsive eater) and they sang in really high-pitched voices and made millions. Believe it or not, this Christmas a live-action movie of this cartoon will be hitting theaters. Fear it, for it is evil!  Why are they gangster? The world may never know. Arakawa doesn't love us anymore! T-T 4 months. 4!! I know the story is called 'Fullmetal Alchemist' and that Ed is the main character but still. I wanna know what Roy is up to. He had that meeting with Grumman so you know that he's planning something to overthrow the furher without risking everyone, espcially Riza. And speaking of Riza, how long has she been in Wrath's control. We know it's at least a week from the last time we saw Roy and Riza talking and it has to take some amount of time to reach the North were Ed and Al are currently. What's going on with her? Is Wrath plotting something? Is Riza secretly gathering information as she proposed to Ed? Has Envy come by and tried to bother her any? (I'm never gonna let that go. Yay Envy!Roy) It's driving me crazy! I wanna know what's going on!!*Sigh* I'll have to wait 'til next month. Luckily, not only did the chapter come out on time, a lot of cool things seem to be happening. Current Mood:  sad |
